Karla Moran

Karla Moran
Economic Development

Karla Moran is the Manager of Economic Development for Salt River Project (SRP). She is responsible for leading the Economic Development team with a focus on attracting and expanding business and industry within SRP’s service territory; providing site-specific electrical infrastructure identification and cost analysis; and working collaboratively alongside state, regional and municipal partners to identify targeted company attraction, expansion and retention efforts. The team works towards building a healthy economy that advances well-planned growth throughout the Valley of the Sun.

Karla has worked in economic development for more than 15 years, including roles at the Arizona Department of Commerce, the Arizona Commerce Authority and the Town of Gilbert. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University and is designated as an Arizona Economic Development Professional through the Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED). Karla serves on the boards of CoreNet Global’s Arizona Chapter, AAED, the Real Estate Investment Advisory Council, Phoenix Sister Cities, and the Arizona Workforce Council. She is also a Certified Ambassador for the Greater Phoenix Economic Council.

Marc Valenzuela

Marc Valenzuela

Marc Valenzuela is the Senior Economic Development Project Manager at Salt River Project (SRP), where he leads initiatives to attract and expand businesses within SRP’s service territory. Marc also works with local communities to implement programs that enhance their strategic growth and competitiveness. With over a decade of experience in economic development, Marc has held key roles at the City of Mesa and Arizona State University, specializing in business attraction, retention and expansion, entrepreneurial programs, and special projects.

Marc is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Master of Public Administration degree and a bachelor's in public service and public policy. He is an active member of the Arizona Association of Economic Development and is designated as an Arizona Economic Development Professional. Marc is also working toward earning his Certified Economic Developer credential through the International Economic Development Council. He serves as the Vice Chair of the Town of Queen Creek’s Economic Development Advisory Commission and is a member of the City of Peoria Economic Development Advisory Board and the Greater Phoenix Economic Council’s Ambassador Steering Committee.

Erica Roelfs

Erica Roelfs
Economic Development

Erica Roelfs is a Senior Economic Development Analyst at SRP. She joined the SRP Economic Development team in 2024, and transitioned from SRP’s Media Relations team where she held the position of Lead Media Relations Strategist.

Prior to joining SRP in 2020, Erica began her career working in Chicago public relations firms as an account manager. She transitioned to Arizona as an employee of the firm Reputation Partners in 2015 and led new business development efforts in the Valley. She then joined Phoenix Children’s communications and marketing department where she spent nearly four years in roles including Brand Manager, Manager of Public Relations and Interim Director of Communications. Erica has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Iowa and a Certificate of Entrepreneurial Management. Erica has been an active member of Public Relations Society of America and Utility Communicators International.

Natalia Cuneo

Natalia Cuneo
Economic Development

Natalia Cuneo is an Economic Development Coordinator with Salt River Project's Economic Development team. In this capacity, Natalia works with the state, regional and municipal partners to contribute growing SRP’s business base. Natalia has more than seven years of economic development experience, and prior to joining SRP she worked for the City of Mesa and the Maricopa Association of Governments.

Natalia has a Master of Public Policy degree from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from University of CEMA in Buenos Aires. She is a member of the Arizona Association of Economic Development and is also working toward earning her Certified Economic Developer credential through the International Economic Development Council.
